The house is like the one in the photo just more grey tones then brown. It’s the same lay out as the one pictured.

So nice to see everyone helping Brentwood. Congratulations to all the winners!

At least take all the shredded tickets and throw it in the air to celebrate

Congratulations to all the winners! Congratulations Brentwood on a job well done ❤

I think the problem is, I’m not hearing my numbers or name lol

Think they need to update to an electronic random draw, no tickets lost to the shredder

I’m just waiting for the phone call to tell me I won a car 🙂

Good luck to everyone who supported Brentwood. Job well done .

I didn’t know you had to have your ticket, your name is there

the video is a few seconds behind he is speaking at the mic

The container should be more rounded to shake up the tickets like a globe

Wishing everyone luck! I want this house so bad. But best of luck to all

Brentwood Recovery Home has another $100,000 in its coffers after recording an impressive 46,000 tickets sold during its 29th annual lottery.

In an unusual year for fundraising, where tickets were only available online, over the phone or at 50 selected businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are thrilled with the result, which beat last year’s sales of just over 42,000.

“Thank you Windsor Essex,” said interim executive director Mark Lennox. “It was far more important this year because we had to cancel so many fundraisers.”

He said the virtual unveiling Saturday, which replaced a normally full house for the draw at the centre, felt “odd.”

“It just did not feel the same,” Lennox said.

But the event, streamed live on Facebook, attracted well over 1,000 people who watched as the hundreds of prizes were awarded.

Craig Moro was watching and he couldn’t believe his luck.

Moro, 47, was the winner of the grand prize, a new home in Belle River, built by Lakepoint Homes.

“It’s a little overwhelming right now,” Moro said. “We’re just about to hop in the Jeep and drive out there and take a look at it first hand.”

The South Windsor resident said he’s not sure what he will do going forward — whether he’ll move into the home, which is valued at $474,000 or take the alternative cash prize of $380,000. For now, he’s just relishing his win.

“I’ve never won anything from the Brentwood lottery before but I’ve participated in their lottery probably every year for I don’t know how long, quite a few years,” said Moro, who works for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and therefore is not allowed to gamble with OLG games, though can with non-OLG lotteries.

“I never win anything on any of these things to tell you the truth.”

The second prize — a 2021 Dodge Challenger or $40,000 in cash, was won by Mark Umbenhower of Windsor, while the third place winner of a 2021 Ford Escape or $33,000 in cash was Florin Barbu of Belle River.

Peter Zorkit of LaSalle took home the fourth prize, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox or $27,000.

South Windsor resident Craig Moro was the grand prize winner of a new home in Belle River in Brentwood Recovery Home’s 29th annual lottery. ]]>
